A pag 11 di Magia di Faerun c'è una scheda su dei "Famosi inventori d'incantesimi". Ora, si presume che debbano esistere incantesimi con il loro nome. E invece no! Nell'ordine compaiono:

Archveult: mai trovato incantesimi col suo nome. Forse in AD&D?

Caligarde: come sopra.

Nulathoe's Ninemen

Level 5 [Necromancy]

Range: Touch

Duration: Permanent

Area of Effect: 1 corpse

Components: V, S, M

Casting Time: 5 segments

Saving Throw: None

Submitted by: Dragon Magazine

This spell serves to protect dead creatures of all sorts against normal decay, magically strengthening the joints of corpses or corpse limbs to keep them supple and usable. Its most prevalent practical use is to preserve dead comrades for placing atop a bier in a sepulcher, or in hopes that they may be raised. The magic-user requires fresh blood from a creature of the same race/species as the spell subject, and the dust or powder resulting from the crushing of a moonstone of not less than 7 gp value. As the words of the spell are spoken, the most vital areas of the body (chest cavity, head and neck, joints of extremities) are sprinkled with a small amount of blood, and the whole body is then sprinkled with the moonstone dust. The closing gesture of the spell is the touching of the corpse, whereupon the spell will take immediate effect.

Note that this spell does not heal wounds or staunch bleeding.

Spell description

This spell requires a globe of blown glass of the finest quality, and a spark. By the use of this spell the caster creates an effect identical to a continual light spell centered within a transparent object, but with the brightness of the light under the caster's mental control. Continuous control need not be maintained; the caster can merely exert concentration to change the current luminosity of the globe, and it will continue to emit the desired amount of light until a new mental command is received (unless, of course, it should be destroyed). Mental control may be maintained over a globe from a distance of 9" per level of the caster (plus 4" per point of intelligence over 15). Control of a globe cannot wrested from another except by mea~ of a wish or limited wishÑor upon the death of the owner, whereupon the expectant owner must touch the globe to take mastery over it.

Name: Archveult's Skybolt

Level: 4

Area Of Effect: 4-ft diameter bolt, 10 ft long/lvl

Casting Time: 4

Comp: V, S, M

Duration: 2 rds

Range: 10 ft/lvl

Save: ½

Description:

The spellcaster creates a luminescent bolt of energy by hurling a crystalline focus at a target creature or location up to 10 feet away per caster level. Beginning 10 feet from the caster, a skybolt 4 feet in diameter bursts into existence, flashing outward along the crystal's path.

The bolt ends where the crystal stops. A bolt will not form in water and, if the crystal has struck a barrier, the bolt will stop at the point of impact. If the crystal enters an area of magical protection that would notm allow formation of the bolt, the bolt will form instantaneously to that point and dissipate immediately. Otherwise, the bolt remains in existence and dangerous through a second round and then fades away.

Any creature struck directly by the crystal (this requires the caster to make an attack roll as if hurling a missile), suffers 1d6 points of damage for each level or Hit Die it possesses, to a maximum of 10d6. A saving throw vs. spell is allowed for half damage.

Such a creature might try to catch and return the crystal (at success chances determined by the DM). The creature still takes damage and is allowed a saving throw, but must also make a system shock survival roll. Its throw determines the future path of the skybolt. The potential maximum length of the skybolt cannot exceed 10 feet per level of the caster.

If the caster misses with a throw, refer to the grenade-like missile scatter diagram (DMG).

Any living creature coming into contact with the bolt but not struck by the crystal will suffer 1d4 points of damage per Hit Dice or level it possesses, to a maximum of 10d4.

A skybolt lasts for two rounds. Once formed, it cannot be deflected, grounded, or insulated against, save by antimagic effects or magic resistance. Creatures and objects entering the skybolt will not affect it.

The material component of the spell is a crystalline focus that is at least 1 inch long. This may be a faceted gem, a piece of quartz, or cut glass. It is hurled as the caster completes the incantation of the spell.
