Hi everyone,

I’ve been noticing input latency issues in some modern games, even on high-end hardware. While lower frame rates can naturally cause delays; I’ve experienced cases where input lag persists despite high FPS and a low-latency display.🙂

This made me wonder how much of the problem is caused by hardware (CPU/GPU bottlenecks, polling rates) versus poor software optimization (bad frame pacing, engine delays)?🙃

I’ve tested different V-Sync settings, NVIDIA Reflex, and AMD Anti-Lag, but results vary across games. Some titles feel ultra-responsive, while others have noticeable delay even when system latency tools (like NVIDIA LDAT or Razer’s analyzer) report low values.🤔Checked https://www.nvidia.com/en-us/geforce/guides/gfecnt/202010/system-latency-optimization-guide/Alteryx guide for reference . 

 

Could game engine design be playing a bigger role than we think? Has anyone found consistent fixes or noticed specific patterns across different engines (Unreal, Unity, proprietary engines)?🤔
